Ho'ike December 2011

 We had our ho'ike last month on December 10th at Tahitian Noni in Provo. It was a success! Special thanks to Kira Ho Ching, Jon & Tiani Mariteragi, Aunty Sweets & Omai, and DJ Spence! lol. We especially wanted to thank all of the families and students for your support!

Fall Semester has started!

Classes have started!

We had our first adult class this past Wednesday and are having our first children's classes this upcoming Monday! (See last post for details.) There are two adjustments to the schedule, however, if your child is a teen and is interested in dancing, have them come to practice at 8:00 instead of 7:15 this week. We might combine the teen and adult class depending on how many teens come out. We also don't have a boys class scheduled yet, but if you are interested, let me know!

Parents please don't stay for practice! The kids get distracted really easily and it can get very loud when people are watching. So please just drop off your kids, register, and then leave and come back when the class is finished. Thanks! :)

The cost is $80 for the semester.

Our fall schedule is set!

Mondays 5:00-5:45

Girls Ages 5-8

Mondays 5:45-6:30

Girls Ages 9-12

Wednesdays 7:15-8:00

Girls Ages 13-17

Wednesdays 8:00-9:00

Women Ages 18+

• The teen and adult classes start on Wednesday, September 7th. 
• Registration for the teens and adults will be during class. I will register students one at a time while the other instructor is teaching.
• The kids classes start on Monday, September 12th. 
• Registration for the kids will be during class as well.
• All students need to bring a pareo and their own water bottle to practice. 
• Parents please don't be late picking up your children as I cannot watch them since the next class starts immediately afterwards. (I don't want anyone getting hurt or running out on the road in-between classes.)

Our new main instructor is Kira Ho Ching of Laie, Hawaii. She is Nonosina Hawaii's current lead dancer and will now be teaching all of the classes with all of the newest and current basics, warm-ups, and dances. She's danced with Nonosina Hawaii since it's beginning, as a little girl, and has assisted Jon Mariteragi in Japan for many years teaching groups there. Get ready for a fun, new semester with literally, the best of the best! We are excited for a new beginning! :)

Fall Classes Starting Soon!

Now that our summer break is coming to a close, we are getting things ready for our fall semester to begin. We are still ironing out the details with our schedules, but please stay tuned! New semester dates, times, and registration will be posted soon! We are looking to start at the beginning of September. Thanks for your patience!
